Philippines was drawn into the group of death in football for the upcoming 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday (8 July).
The Azkals were drawn into Group B, and will face defending champions Thailand and Vietnam, the second runners-up in 2015.
Other teams in Group B include Indonesia, who finished fourth in 2015, Cambodia and Timor-Leste.
Group A consists of hosts Malaysia, 2015 runners-up Myanmar, Singapore, Laos and Brunei.
In 2015, Philippines finished with four defeats in four games.
