Young ladies representing various festivals all over the country will vie for the title of Festival Queen or Reyna ng Aliwan 2013.

Manila Broadcasting Company, which produces the annual cultural extravaganza in partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the Cities of Manila and Pasay, has released the list of this year's candidates.

From the National Capital Region is Hazel Joy Ortiz representing Manila's Dalaksagaw festival. The Cordilleras will be represented by Chasty Tercias of Baguio City who reigns as this year's Panagbenga muse, with Kashmir Marjorie Hernaez representing Laoag's Pamulinawen Festival. Darlene May Reyes will represent the Ala Eh festival of Batangas.

From the Queen City of the South is Jamie Herrell for the Sinulog of Cebu, with Nerissa Modesto of Tanauan's Pasaka festival and Regine Ruth Rona representing Alangalang, Leyte. Also turning on the Visayan charm are Emily Victoria Oke for Iloilo's Dinagyang, Caren Braun for the Paraw Regatta festival, and Johanna Carla Luzuriaga Saad for Kabankalan Sinulog. The province of Negros Oriental has five entries: Shella May Kumarasammy of Mabinay; Laarni Acosta of Siaton's Inagta festival; Kimberly Covert representing the Harvest festival of Valencia; Halimatu Yushawu of Bacong; and Fe Mavelle Tano for Dumaguete's Sandurot festival.

Mindanao will have Janette Roanne Sturm for the Kalilangan festival of General Santos and Brenalyn Cuevas of Maguindanao.

The festival costume competition will be held at the front lawn of the CCP on April 11. The pageant night will be held at the outdoor stage in front of the Aliw Theater at the CCP Complex on April 12, the coronation night following the grand parade on April 13.
