Your personality is one important factor to consider when you’re exploring what careers may fit you best. While there are many personality tests that can be taken, the most famous is the Myers-Briggs Type indicator (MBTI).

It has been a part of business culture for decades and is used to analyse the personalities of job-seekers in an effort to get them in the right roles and help them succeed. Have a go at the test below to find jobs that best suit your personality!

Do the test: Choose one personality each from the four choices below, combine them to form your personality type and check out the five different jobs you can consider!

 

1st Type: Interaction with the world

[E] Extroverts – Love interactions. They are energized by the presence of people, loves a variety of tastes, are often quick-paced, and are very good at multitasking


[I] Introverts – It may not be isolation, however they tend to like working alone or in smaller groups. They value peace and prefer a more deliberate pace. Usually focuses one task at a time


2nd Type: Judgement and Processing of information

[S] Sensors – Practical and logical. They are realistic people who like to focus on facts and details. They also use conscious reasoning such as common sense and past experiences are applied for problem-solving.


[N] Intuitives - Rely on instinct. Prefer to focus on possibilities and the big picture. They easily see patterns, value innovation and seek creative and critical solutions to problems.

 

3rd Type: Decision Making

[T] Thinkers – Tend to make decisions using logical analysis (e.g: reports, proof, data and experiments). They objectively weighing out pros and cons. They also value honesty, consistency and fairness.


[F] Feelers – Tend to be sensitive and cooperative. They often decide based on their own personal values and how others are affected by their actions.

 

4th Type Need of Structure and organization
[J] Judgers – like systems and structure. They are usually organized and prepared. Often the ones who makes and stick to plans and perfectly comfortable in following most rules.


[P] Perceivers – They are the definition of ‘winging it’. They are spontaneous people who prefer keeping their options open. Perceivers are also flexible in making or changing plans.
