High quality, efficiency, and an ethos of creating “luxury within reach” combine to create the thoroughly modern, 517-unit executive condo known as The Vales. Set in Singapore’s popular northeastern town of Sengkang, the nine-block development, rising up to 15 storeys, promises residents spacious units with upscale, functional interiors: reflecting the contemporary, lifestyle focus of the SingHaiyi Group’s Anchorvale Residences Pte Ltd. arm.

The practical and aspirational design ethos evident within the development saw The Vales scoop a Best Executive Condo Interior Design win at the 8th annual PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) in October 2018. AGA Architects and landscape designers COEN Design International added a creative flair to the building on a 75,000 sq ft plot.

Space, light and privacy reach maximum potential with interior spaces fashioned into a point-block configuration with four units for every floor. Condos ranging from two- to five-bedroom units, with maisonettes and penthouses, have an average unit size of around 1,000 sq ft. Full-length windows let in light and look out to city and landscaped views.

Spacious layouts are finished with 800×800, large-format porcelain tiles in the living and dining areas, kitchens and bathrooms. This contemporary design statement is reminiscent of luxury hotels, giving the properties a sense of space and glamour with durability too.

Good-sized bedrooms are finished with wood-laminate flooring and include full-length wardrobes to create warm rooms that feel distinct from the fluidity of the tiled spaces. Meanwhile, white fitted kitchens exude the same interior-design principle of marrying style and substance.

One of this year’s judges, who led the panel last year, Minkqee ‘Mink’ Tan founded award-winning architecture and interior design practice MINKKE nearly 20 years ago and is the company’s principal interior designer and architect. He highlights how quality is achieved as a result of the sum of the project’s individual parts, including interior design.

“The Vales provides above and beyond typical executive condominium products in terms of materials, design consideration, hardware provision, and quality of finishes,” he said. “The use of leading brand appliances and architectural features accentuates the quality of an executive condominium.”

A standout feature of the Anchorvale development is the use of around 75 percent prefabricated bathroom units to support better quality and improve build-efficiency. Each bathroom contains feature walls, adding style to the property. Meanwhile, energy-saving air-con units and fixtures, and easy-to-maintain finishes boost the quality of the interiors of The Vales, which makes use of recycled and recyclable materials.

Interiors are extended outdoors with cantilevered balconies and garden terraces on the 15th floor of each tower. Communal social spaces and lifestyle amenities, including a gym with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and pool views, reflect the same homely sentiment as the cozy, yet chic, interior designs. With optimized interior spaces, elegant design and quality furnishings, each room type is crafted to create a comfortable, modern home.

With a design philosophy and features that include the key ingredients of being essential and exclusive, The Vales serves up a substantial executive condo development that is nothing short of exciting.
