Serena Williams has turned to social media for some breastfeeding advice from her fellow parents.

On Wednesday, the athlete asked, “Fellow moms: How long did you breastfeed?” Williams wrote, alongside a photo of herself with daughter Alexis Olympia. “Is it weird that I get emotional when I even just think about when it’s time to stop?”

And it wasn’t long before the internet responded with some words of advice and support.

“I am still breastfeeding my 4 year old. we are self weaning. I get emotional thinking about weaning all the time. Nurse that baby as long as you can, they grow up too fast,” one user tweeted.

“Every baby/child is different,” another added. “I’ve been breastfeeding for six years now — with three daughters who are 6, 4, 2. No one is pushing the third off, so she’s still breastfeeding for comfort in the pm/am despite already starting pre-school.”

“Both of mine self-weaned 15 months and I was v emotional about finishing, especially second time round because I knew I was done for good. Whatever works best for you and your baby,” another user offered.

Serena and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, welcomed their daughter back in September.

The tennis champion isn’t the only celebrity to speak out about breastfeeding. Chrissy Teigen, Whitney Port, and Kelly Rowland are just some of the celebrity moms who’ve gotten real about nursing.
