Seri Setia by-election: Three men nabbed for fighting over politics

PETALING JAYA: Three men were detained by police for fighting outside a college in Jalan PJS 5, here, yesterday.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din told Bernama that the incident happened at 1pm on Saturday and that the trio, aged 30 to 50, were detained two hours later.

They were believed to have gotten into a fight over their respective political stance.

He added that two of them were injured and that police were investigating the case under Section 160 of the Penal Code for committing affray.

Two by-elections were held in Selangor today namely for the Seri Setia and Balakong state seats.

Meanwhile, Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said no untoward incidents were reported during the Balakong by-election. — BERNAMA © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
