Serial killer Joanna Dennehy has reportedly tried to kill herself in a suicide pact with her prison girlfriend.
The Sun reported that Dennehy – who is serving a whole life sentence for stabbing three men to death in March 13 and knifing two others – was found with her throat slit.
According to the newspaper, her lover is believed to have cut her wrists.
The pair were reportedly taken to hospital for treatment before being returned to HMP Bronzefield in Surrey.
A source told The Sun: “When the guards found them they were entwined on the floor, which was covered in blood. They think they need splitting up now to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
The newspaper reported that once back in prison Dennehy had tried a second suicide attempt which also failed.
