Sharon Cuneta still angry over mother's death

The actress expresses dissatisfaction over the way her mother, Elaine Cuneta, passed away

9 Oct - It's been nearly one year since her mother, Elaine Gamboa-Cuneta, passed away, but the loss is still difficult for megastar Sharon Cuneta to bear.

In an interview with Boy Abunda on his nightly talk show recently, according to Push, the actress admitted that she was angry about the way she lost her mother.

"I had my first Christmas without her last year. It was so unexpected. That's what I was so angry about. She went to the hospital for a particular ailment, and she died from something that we still don't know to this very day," she said.

Cuneta admitted that though she was closer to her father, the late former Pasay City Mayor Pablo Cuneta, Elaine's passing affected her very much.

"She was a good mother, as good as she can be. She was the best mother she could be to me."

Former actress-beauty queen Elaine Gamboa-Cuneta passed away last November after suffering from profuse bleeding and other internal complications. She was confined in the ICU of St. Luke's Medical Center Global City in Taguig for a month prior to her death.
