Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande and Other Celebrities Take Part in Black Lives Matter Protests

As cities and small towns all around the world come together to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement and outrage over the death of George Floyd, many celebrities are using their platforms and voices to spread the message. Many of them have also been using their resources to help support grassroots movements and taking the time to go out to publicly protest against police brutality. Here are some celebrities who have been out protesting and their stories of what it has been like:

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello

Shawn and Camila, who have been social distancing in Miami, were seen at a protest together in the city on May 31.

Halsey

Halsey shared several posts from her time protesting on May 30. Although it was a peaceful protest, Halsey says that the police, "Fired rubber bullets at us. We did not breach the line. hands were up. Unmoving. And they gassed and fired."

She returned to protest on May 31 and documented police throwing items at protestors.

Halsey was also helping those who were getting injured by rubber bullets and encouraged other protests to bring medical supplies in the future.

Ariana Grande

Ariana protested in Los Angeles on May 31 and shared her experience on Twitter writing, "Hours and miles of peaceful protesting yesterday that got little to no coverage. All throughout Beverly Hills and West Hollywood we chanted, people beeped and cheered along. We were passionate, we were loud, we were loving. Cover this too please."

Michael B. Jordan

Michael was seen attending protests in Los Angeles on May 30.

Kehlani

Kehlani attended a Los Angeles protest on May 30 and shared videos of what she saw while out.

Lauren Jauregui

Lauren participated in a protest in Miami and noted that things were peaceful until "sh*t got rowdy a bit after I left and people are being tear gassed, rubber bullets are flying from snipers and police are in FULL gear. Sh*t is real. STAY SAFE AND PROTECT."

J. Cole

The rapper was seen in Fayetteville, North Carolina, according to ABC11.

Timothee Chalamet

The Call Me By Your Name star posted photos and videos as he protested in Santa Monica.

Ellen Page

Ellen Page was at the May 31st march in NYC at the Barclays Center and shared a short video of the protest happening.

Tinashe

Tinashe posted photos of various protests she participated in over the weekend in Los Angeles.
