Shila Amzah is the ambassador of a license-less plane?

Singing sensation Shila Amzah has been appointed as the ambassador of a newly launched airline called MonSpace Sky Airlines which is reported to be license-less.

Operated by Suasa Air Sdn Bhd, the airline which is owned by Dr Jessy Lain reportedly flies from KLIA and will be running domestic flights to Langkawi, Kedah, and also international flights to Mecca and also several places in Mainland China, including Hangzhou, Chongqing, Xi-An and Chengdu.

Shila Amzah and Macau's famous TV host Maria Cordero were the celebrities present during the launch of MonSpace Sky's maiden flight from Subang Airport to Langkawi on Sunday.

However, the Ministry of Transport are unaware of the existence of this new carrier.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai claimed that the airline was never approved by Putrajaya and shouldn't have been allowed to fly.

"This is a very serious offence. How can you fly without a licence?" said the Minister as quoted by The Star.

The airline only received an Air Operator's Certificate from the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), and this still doesn't allow them to operate flights.

Liow also said that the airline shall not be allowed to operate until they receive an Air Service Permit (ASP) from Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom).
