Shirley Ballas reassures fans she'll 'be fine' for 'Strictly' after breaking ankle
Shirley Ballas has confirmed she'll "be fine" to take part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing while revealing she'd broken her right ankle.
The judge shared the news to Instagram on Sunday as she also thanked NHS staff and her partner Daniel Taylor for their help.
She wrote: "So a clean break. Six weeks to heal. Thank you to NHS and all staff who took care of me. @danieltayloresq thank you for being there.

"Painful but I’ll trolly on. #cleanbreak #brokenankle. I’ll be fine for @bbcstrictly thank you for all the messages. #gratitude."
Ballas, 59, posted a video of herself with her foot in a support boot while she moved around on crutches down a hospital corridor.
She demonstrated how she was getting used to walking with the crutches while joking it was "a bit like the Waltz".
On Monday, she shared that she was finding alternative ways to keep up her exercise regime despite her injuries.
Strictly has been confirmed to be returning later this year. However, it will be a shorter series than usual due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A spokesperson shared in a statement back in June: "The Strictly Come Dancing team are doing everything they can to bring the nation plenty of Strictly magic later this year.
"To ensure we deliver the high standards audiences know and love, and in light of the ongoing considerations around COVID-19, this year’s series of Strictly will have a slightly shorter run than usual.

"The safety of our cast and crew is of the utmost importance to us and further updates will be made in due course."
A start date for the competition, which typically launches in September, is yet to be revealed.
