ONE Championship will make its return to Singapore next month with a mega event that will feature a plethora of stars from “The Lion City.”

The Singapore Indoor Stadium will play host to ONE: ENTER THE DRAGON on Friday, 17 May. This blockbuster card will feature two World Title bouts, all four of the quarter-final matches from the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix, and a host of local talents.

Evolve teammates Christian “The Warrior” Lee and Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki will headline the show, as the pair will collide for the Japanese warrior’s ONE Lightweight World Championship.

Aoki won the gold in spectacular fashion at ONE: A NEW ERA, as he ousted Eduard “Landslide” Folayang from the top of the division in front of a jubilant home crowd.

The Japanese legend did not waste any time in naming who he wanted to challenge next, suggesting the 20-year-old featherweight contender. Days later, ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong made the bout official.

Although this is Lee’s first match-up in the lightweight division, the Singaporean vowed to finish the bout in the very first round and claim the belt.

Among the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix match-ups, Evolve Fight Team representative Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan will square off against WMC Muay Thai World Champion Petchorakot Petchyindee Academy.

Petrosyan, a two-time K-1 World Max Champion, will look to advance to the next round. If he emerges victorious, he will face the winner of the contest between fellow two-time K-1 World Max Champion Andy “Souwer Power” Souwer and two-division Lion Fight Muay Thai World Champion “Smokin’” Jo Nattawut in the semi-finals.

Also in action from Evolve are a pair of former ONE Strawweight World Champions in Alex “Little Rock” Silva and Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, who will face Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito and Miao Li Tao, respectively.

Silva will look to settle the score against the former World Champion in the finale of their trilogy, while “Kru Rong” will welcome a promotional debutant in the Chinese warrior.

In addition to that, Singapore’s own Amir Khan will make his return to the ONE Circle, as he welcomes Italian superstar Iuri Lapicus to The Home Of Martial Arts.

The promotion’s leading knockout artist will have his hands full against Lapicus, who has a 100 percent finishing rate in his undefeated 12-bout career.

His Evolve teammate, Garry “The Lion Killer” Tonon, will look to continue his meteoric rise in the featherweight division as he takes on Japan’s Yoshiki Nakahara, who made an impressive debut by stopping Emilio “The Honey Badger” Urrutia in February.

Finally, the event will kick off with Singapore-based Indian Rahul “The Kerala Krusher” Raju, who takes on Malaysia-based Filipino warrior Richard “Notorious” Corminal.
