SINGAPORE — Singapore celebrated 54 years of independence with a spectacle at the historic Padang.

Besides Singapore Cabinet ministers and President Halimah Yacob, also in attendance were the leaders of neighbouring countries – Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Bruneian Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.
