Singapore’s Gushcloud buys back shares from its investor Yello Digital

This includes the full 62 per cent buyback that YDMG previously held within Gushcloud at an agreed price of USD$8.2 million

Singapore-based Gushcloud International, a holding company that operates global influencer marketing, talent and entertainment agency, has announced the full buyback of its shares from Korean investor Yello Digital Marketing Group (YDMG), effectively regaining the control.

This includes the full 62 per cent buyback that YDMG previously held within Gushcloud at an agreed price of USD$8.2 million.

Gushcloud was acquired by YDMG in May 2015.

“We are grateful for the last three years with YDMG. The company has helped us break into key territories providing influencer marketing services across Asia Pacific. However, as co-founders of Gushcloud International, we see the company evolving beyond influencer marketing services so we can build out a sustainable future for influencers and content creators,” Gushcloud Co-founders Althea Lim and Vincent Ha said in an email sent out to its employees and stakeholders.

“To play an important role within the media and entertainment industry, and to build out what this ecosystem looks like, we believe we had to take back control of steering the company forward and to onboard more strategic partners and investors. We will remain close partners with YDMG,” they added.
