Portion of Singapore State Courts cordoned off after bullet-shaped object found

A part of the Singapore State Courts was cordoned off on Wednesday (26 April) afternoon after a bullet-shaped object was discovered outside the building.

At about 3.30pm, an area around the size of a HDB flat’s master bedroom in front of the State Courts was cordoned off. Yahoo Singapore spotted about a dozen plainclothes and uniformed officers in the area.

One officer was seen taking photos of the area. An object was later removed from the scene and placed in an envelope.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it received a call at 2.49pm that an item suspected to be ammunition had been found at 1 Havelock Square. Yahoo Singapore understands that the item is a bullet. The cordon was lifted at 4.10pm.
