Singtel launches EZ-link SIM card for tourists visiting Singapore

Telecom operator Singtel on Wednesday (19 December) launched a two-in-one EZ-link SIM card for tourists visiting Singapore.

The hi!Tourist EZ-Link SIM Card, priced at $18, comes with 100GB of 4G data, up to 1GB per day access to Facebook, LINE, WeChat, and WhatsApp as well as 1GB roaming data for selected countries in the region.

The card also comes with $3 credit for rides on Singapore’s public trains and buses and can be topped up subsequently.

Tourists who present the card can also enjoy a free round trip on Singapore Cable Car – Sentosa Line as well as up to 25 per cent off selected Sentosa attractions and packages with One Faber Group, and dining offers with dining portal HungryGoWhere and KFC.

“We are pleased to partner with EZ-Link and One Faber Group to be the first in Asia to introduce this innovative product to help tourists get more out of their travel experience,” said Gan Siok Hoon, vice president at Singtel’s mobile marketing & sales, consumer Singapore.

“With EZ-Link’s wide network of top-up points across the island, tourists can conveniently use the card to take the MRT, LRT and buses to explore our garden city,” said EZ-Link CEO Nicholas Lee.

The card is available for purchase at any Singtel shop, Singtel exclusive retailer, Travelex currency exchange counter at Singapore Changi Airport, 7-Eleven, Cheers or participating retailers islandwide.

Tourists must present their passports to purchase the card.
