Singtel has announced that it will be waiving local mobile data charges on Labour Day (1 May) in light of the mobile data incident on Wednesday (22 April), which prompted a flood of complaints by irate customers.
Some customers said they experienced the outage starting at 10am on Wednesday, while others said the outage started around 1pm.
“Customers may be experiencing intermittent difficulties accessing 3G and 4G mobile data services,” said Singtel via Facebook at 3pm. “Our engineers are currently investigating and are working on restoring services as soon as possible.”

Very curious how @Singtel customers are able to complain on social media that they don't have data service. #trollarmy #trollseverywhere

I expect @Singtel to perform better when it comes to acknowledging network issues and inform customers at the earliest possible time.
