Planning a getaway? Good news, Singapore.

The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) on Tuesday (12 May) released the dates of Singapore’s public holidays for next year.

Six of the 11 gazetted public holidays fall on a Friday, Saturday or Monday, which means that workers can look forward to six long weekends.

It is one less long weekend than the seven this year, but it is still up from the usual five in recent years.

MOM also confirmed that Deepavali will fall on 10 Nov (Tuesday) this year, after the 2015 Hindu Almanac was made available.
