Go slow on reopening schools, COVID is close door transmission: AIIMS Doctor

New Delhi, Aug 28 (ANI): The government should go slow on the decision of reopening schools, said Chairperson of COVID Task Force in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Dr. Naveet Wig on August 28. “They have to look at the risks versus the benefits. We have to compare the pros and the cons. So, this has to be a continuous policy. The other aspect for children is their neurocognitive effects. Further, the festive season is going to come in one or two months. It is a close door transmission, we have to go slow and promote these outdoor activities carefully," the doctor said.
