7.40am update: SMRT says the fault has been cleared and train services are being restored progressively.

A recurring track fault has led to train services between Jurong East and Queenstown MRT stations on the East West Line (EWL) to be delayed, SMRT said early Friday morning (15 March).

It first tweeted at 5.59am that a track fault at Clementi had disrupted service between Jurong East and Queenstown.

Train services resumed at 7.03am, but went down again shortly after.

At 7.10am, SMRT tweeted that commuters were to expect 30 minutes extra train travel time between Jurong East and Queenstown. Free regular bus and free bus bridging services were available.
