You can do something amazing with the pantsuit you wore on Election Day
During her concession speech, Hillary Clinton reminded us to never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it — and her supporters are committed to honoring her. In addition to volunteering for important causes championed by Clinton, you can do something amazing with your Election Day pantsuit. A month after the election, the members of Pantsuit Nation are donating their pantsuits to help underprivileged women as they seek employment and go on job interviews. The idea is the brainchild of activist and entrepreneur Meena Harris, who purchased a pantsuit for the special occasion of Election Day.
“As I walked down the street in my affluent San Francisco neighborhood to drop off my dry-cleaning, I reflected on what an obvious privilege it is to even own a pantsuit, let alone to buy a new one for a special occasion. And I had an idea for something that would acknowledge that privilege and honor Hillary, too,” Harris wrote in Lenny Letter.
Harris launched Pantsuit Nation’s clothing drive by asking members of the not-so-secret Facebook group to donate their Election Day pantsuits to women in need.
The new or gently used pantsuits will be given to organizations across the country that are dedicated to helping poor and homeless women find employment opportunities and prepare for job interviews.

Unsurprisingly, Harris’ request was met with what she describes to The Huffington Post as a heartening “outpouring of good will, generosity and a desire to stay engaged.”
The effort has been dubbed “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pantsuit,” and we can’t think of a more perfect moniker.
Members of Pantsuit Nation can also donate their Election Day attire to local affiliates of Dress For Success, an organization dedicated to providing women with the tools to achieve economic independence and success.

The dedication of Clinton’s supporters to carrying on the good fight is proof that she made a profound impact on tens of millions of American women — she advised us to never give up, and we will honor her by following the words of one of her favorite sayings: “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can.”
