Spiri offers a new on-demand carpool service

Danish startup Spiri has created its on-demand carpooling system, with service set to begin in 2017, reports Tech Crunch.

The service will provide a fleet of its own ultra-light electric vehicles, which customers can drive for free in exchange for offering rides to fellow passengers.

While the outer design of the vehicles hasn't been released yet, the company promises multi-seat cars featuring lightweight materials, with more legroom than a Mercedes S class limousine.

A first look at the Spiri line of vehicles will be available at Danish tech conference TechBBQ on September 20. Those interested in signing up can start registering now at Spiri.io.
