When we dream about faraway castles, we probably picture magical estates like this grandiose palace in France (which you can book for a night here). But thinking closer to home, there are actually some regal establishments right here in the states, and no, we don't mean Cinderella's Castle in Disney World.

The Kentucky Castle is a medieval-style castle located in Versailles, KY, just 30 minutes outside Lexington. It's part boutique hotel, part event venue, and offers 13 rooms to stay in, a farm-to-table restaurant, spa, a farm, and more. With its gorgeous grounds and luxurious interior, it's a popular wedding destination. However, it also hosts a bevy of events. If you're not looking to stay over and just want to spend the day, the castle hosts murder mystery dinners, tea parties with princesses, a history of bourbon class, rooftop yoga, and more (view the castle's events here).

Not to mention, visitors can take a tour of the castle and its grounds, with prices starting at $21.20. Some of these tours even include a chef's choice lunch at the castle's restaurant, Castle Farms. This farm-to-table restaurant sources ingredients from local farms, but strives to create as much food as possible from the castle's own 55 acre farm. Visitors can also enjoy the spa, which offers services such as cryotherapy, massages, facials, waxing, sauna usage, and more. There are even membership packages for those who can't keep away.

The Kentucky Castle is undoubtedly a great place to stay if you can get you are able to book one of the 13 rooms, but also just a charming place to dine or get a massage in. They also offer private event spaces for small groups of 15-30 in their bourbon hall, dining room, or music room. Whereas, larger groups of 75-150 can reserve the ballroom, or the rooftop, which can accomodate 350 or 250 for a seated dinner. At max, The Kentucky Castle can accommodate 1,000 people for an event—perfect for a royal wedding, right?
