The Brief: Having copious amounts of thick hair is all fun and games until it comes to styling it. I personally will always pick pin-straight hair over a blowout any day, but once I whip out the straightener, my strands tend to have other plans. Think frizz, flyaways, and breakage all over my head with bone-dry split ends. Yeah, it gets that bad.
Getting my hair just right required hours — yes, hours — with a blowdryer, straightener, and a handful of strand-smoothing products. All I wished for was a way to straighten my wavy, frizzy locks that was as easy as brushing my hair. You simply turn the brush on, set it at your desired heat (I put it on 410 degrees since I have a lot of tresses to straighten, but you can definitely lower the heat), and brush through your hair once it's fully heated up — which only takes about 30 seconds, by the way.
I was in genuine shock at how fast this brush straightened my hair. One quick glide through my strands, and a section was completely straightened and glossy, just how I like it. Getting through my entire head took less than 2o minutes, and my hair didn’t smell burnt, nor looked fried, which is a major plus in comparison to what’s happened with other heated tools I’ve used. The best part: My hair actually stayed straight as hours went by, so there was no need for touch-ups throughout the day.
