Get ready to enter the ring with the Von Erich family—from the comfort of your own home.

A24's sports drama, The Iron Claw, will soon be available to stream at your leisure. The film—which had its theatrical release on December 22, 2023—follows members of the Von Erich family, a wrestling dynasty that started in the ‘60s. In particular, The Iron Claw takes a closer look at the Von Erich brothers, many of whom faced life-altering tragedies throughout the course of their professional wrestling careers.

Zac Efron plays eldest Von Erich son Kevin, while Harris Dickinson plays David and Jeremy Allen White plays Kerry. Other cast members include Lily James as Kevin's wife Pam, Holt McCallany as patriarch Fritz, Maura Tierney as matriarch Doris, and Stanley Simons as youngest son Mike.

In a statement, director and screenwriter Sean Durkin revealed that he drew inspiration from Raging Bull (1980) and The Deer Hunter (1978). “The Iron Claw is a movie about family, fathers and sons, brothers,” Durkin added. “It is about finding love and learning to love yourself for who you are. It is about battling against this narrow idea of what makes a man. It is about chasing glory and the illusions of success. It is about generational strife and questioning the lens with which we are conditioned to see the world in order to find a hopeful new future. The Iron Claw is a celebration of self discovery, camaraderie, brotherhood, and the glory days of territorial wrestling in the USofA.”

Per a deal signed between A24 and HBO, The Iron Claw will drop on streaming service Max on May 10.
