The Instagram scene in Singapore is rife with food pics styled within an inch of their lives. We’ve certainly got no lack in this area, yet two student-run accounts recently caught our attention.
Helmed by what appears to be two different classes from Riverside Secondary School in Woodlands, @twofourrrr and @rss_2.6 get major style points for making plain old canteen food look cool. It’s no easy feat either, seeing as how schools usually dish out their rice, noodles, and bread dishes with more flavor than flair.
Both accounts seem to have started out with standard class pictures and insider memes before recently moving on to styling the culinary arts in a similar aesthetic, leaving us wondering if this is some sort of school project or class competition between the two. It doesn’t stop with just the images, though. Earnest text, written food review style, accompany the snapshots, complete with credits to the team behind the post.
But hey, we’d rather show you than tell you. Behold, the likes of kaya toast, milo, char siew bao, mee goreng, and fried rice featured by the secondary school students.
