Suspected 63-year-old underwear thief in Bukit Batok arrested
A 63-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing undergarments in the Bukit Batok estate.
The police were alerted to a case of theft of undergarments at Block 106 Bukit Batok Central, the Singapore Police Force said in a statement on Tuesday (27 February). Through ground enquiries and footage from police cameras, the police arrested the man on Monday.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in other similar cases in the Bukit Batok estate.
The man will be charged on Wednesday for theft. If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to three years and/or fine.
