Suspected NPA rebels burn bus in Cotabato

Suspected members of the New People’s Army burned a yellow bus in Makilala, North Cotabato on Monday.

According to police, armed men boarded the Davao City-bound bus and brought it to a remote area where it was allegedly burned.

The driver and the passengers were unharmed during the incident.

The burning incident came five days after a group of police officers was ambushed by suspected NPA members in Bansalan, Davao del Sur and just after the government and the Communist Party of the Philippines has agreed to resume the peace talks and to impose unilateral ceasefire for both sides. — UNTV News & Rescue
