KOTA KINABALU: The Sutera Harbour 7K Charity Sunset Run on July 1, will be flagged off at 17.17 hours (5.17pm) to mark the 17th anniversary of the run.
Sutera Harbour Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer Gerard Tan said to date, over 500 participants have registered and the numbers are expected to grow.
“It’s one of the most popular run in Sabah and normally runners will register last minute,” said Tan.
According to him, proceeds collected from the run will go to the district’s Pemadam to aid their anti-drug awareness programmes, the Sabah Thalassemia Society and the Special Olympics Sabah. Sutera Harbour, Tan said, is dedicated to continuing their efforts to help the society.
“The 7km route remains unchanged where participants will run along the Sutera Harbour Boulevard towards the Imago Link Bridge, passing by Gleneagles Kota Kinabalu, Kota Kinabalu Times Square before returning to Sutera Harbour Resort by making a U-turn at the end of the junction of Imago Shopping Mall,” he said.
Interested runners can still catch the Early Bird Registration, which will be closed on April 30 at a fee of RM35 per adult and RM25 for students and children.
The registration fee from May 1 to June 30 will be at RM40 per adult and RM30 per student or child.
