Teen arrested for robbery in Ipoh

IPOH, Nov 15 ― A 19-year-old girl has been arrested over a house robbery in Taman Arkid Menglembu here.

She was arrested at 9pm yesterday. Ipoh police district chief ACP Mohd Ali Thamby said she was one of three suspects who fled the home with RM65,000 in cash and valuables.

“The suspects got into the house by reaching out to the keys which were placed at the side of the house door at around 1.30pm (yesterday).

“One of the suspects threatened a 13-year-old who was in the house at the time of the incident by placing a machete on his neck and ordering him to be silent,” he said in a statement.

Police are still hunting for the other two suspects and are investigating the case for armed robbery and gang robbery.
