New Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): DCP (Northwest) Usha Rangnani on October 10 said that the 'Tejaswini' initiative has yielded good results as the locals speak vocally against the crime in the presence of women constables. She further added that residents feel safer in front of women constables. “It yielded very good results. 46 women constables were deployed on beat, including Head Constables. Now when we were nearing three months of it, I held a meeting with residents and constables. Residents gave positive feedback. They now feel safer. Earlier, they hesitated to report crimes against women, be it inside their houses or molestation outside. Now they speak clearly in the presence of women constables. They have access to better counselling and doorstep policing,” said DCP Usha Rangnani.
