Temasek to distribute 2 reusable masks to each Singapore resident from 21 Sept
SINGAPORE — There will be another round of face mask distribution by Temasek Foundation (TF) from 21 September to 4 October, with every Singapore resident able to collect two reusable face masks.
The announcement was made by Temasek chief executive and executive director Ho Ching in a post on her Facebook page on Wednesday night (9 September).
“Some folks have asked if it’s true that Temasek Foundation will be distributing another round of free reusable masks,” Ho said in her post.
“The TF folks have been planning this for some time, and were working to make a formal announcement before this weekend.”
Temasek Foundation had conducted a round of mask distribution in June and July, via some 1,200 vending machines at bus interchanges, community centres and residents’ committee centres.
Domestic helpers can also collect masks
In her Facebook post, Ho said that, to collect the face masks, Singapore residents should bring along any government-issued identification card with a barcode, such as their pink or blue IC, FIN card, driving licence or PAssioncard.
Domestic helpers or workers on work passes may also collect the face masks. Toddlers to 12-year-olds will be eligible for kid-size masks.
“There are ample supplies of the Adult White and Kid White masks, so feel free to go collect your free kit after the first three days to avoid crowds,” Ho wrote in her Facebook post.
Pre-orders available for maximum 10 extra kits
There will also be options for online pre-orders for those who want more masks, or who want masks in other colours – black, peach, denim blue and navy.
The adult and kid white masks cost $8 per kit (containing two masks) and residents can pre-order up to 10 extra kits per person.
Pre-order is open from Sunday to 2 October, and is subject to availability.
