Terri Kwan's famous in-laws
24 Apr – Taiwanese actress Terri Kwan, who just earlier announced her engagement to Hong Kong boyfriend, Christian Zhu, recently let it slipped that the latter is actually Hong Kong singer Alex Lam's step-brother.
As reported on Groove Asia website, the 36-year-old actress made the information known when she left a comment on a photo uploaded by Alex on his micro blog, and stated, "You really look like your brother Christian in this photo, although you are better looking than him."
It was then revealed that Terri's soon-to-be mother-in-law is Ng Cheng Yuen, the ex-wife of Hong Kong veteran singer George Lam.
Ng, who as a former music executive of Hong Kong Warner Music, married George in 1980, and gave birth to a son, Alex and a daughter. However, the couple divorced in 1995 and George married singer-actress, Sally Yeh.
Meanwhile, Christian is Ng's child from her first marriage, before she got together with George.
When asked about the relationship, Terri stated, "They are step brothers, but both Christian and Alex get along well despite their 10-year age gap."
In related news, there will be two wedding celebrations for the engaged couple -a traditional Chinese wedding dinner followed by a wedding party that will only be attended by friends.
