Forget MRT and other public transportation. Ride-hailing apps GrabHitch and UberPOOL are both offering you the ride of your life, provided you don’t mind carpooling with other people. Check out what they have in store for you:
GrabHitch
Available for one day only, GrabHitch passengers will be able to take the front seat and ride for free island-wide this Friday, 22nd July, from 12am to 11.59pm. Each passenger is entitled to two free rides and the opportunity to get to know their GrabHitch driver a little better.
To claim your free rides, simply follow these three simple steps:
1. Tap on GrabHitch when making your booking
2. Enter the code HitchFriday
3. Book and ride
UberPOOL
From 7am to 10pm on 22nd July, UberPool is offering a S$5 promotion for one day only, regardless of your destination in the island. To get the ‘Ride anywhere for S$5′ offer, simply:
1. Apply the promo code POOLFRIDAY
2. Set your pickup location and enter your destination under the uberX option
3. Tap Set a pickup destination, followed by tapping left for uberPOOL
4. Choose how many seats you need (1 or 2) and tap Request shared car. You might get matched with other passengers going the same way
5. You will be charged a maximum fare of S$5 at the end of the trip
