Thai martech startup Zanroo raises US$7.4M to expand globally

Zanroo helps over 300 brands build and manage their marketing campaigns

Thai martech (marketing technology) startup Zanroo has raised US$7.4 million in a Series A round led by Shift Ventures.

The company will use the fresh round of financing to fund its expansion to the US and China markets this year. Following which it will expand to Europe. Zanroo aims to be in 40 markets by 2019.

Founded in 2013, Zanroo helps brands build marketing campaigns by offering a suite of data analytics software that collects consumer data over different platforms including social media platforms. The data collected allow brands to build effective actionable insights that optimise their campaigns’ reach.

“On the software front, our social listening and engagement tools are able to slice and dice multi-lingual content to generate actionable insights,” said Chitpol Mungprom, CEO and Founder of Zanroo, in a press statement.

“This is extremely important for our consultancy services in which we advise brands on strategic and tactical initiatives by seizing opportunities quickly and intercept crisis effectively.”

To date, Zanroo has over 300 clients in its portfolio, which span verticals such as banking, automotive, telecom, e-commerce, aviation, consumer goods sectors.

It is currently present in over 15 countries across the APAC region.

“When Zanroo was founded in 2013, we were a two-people company,” said Mungprom. “In just four years, we’re active in 15 countries with more than 150 employees… Zanroo has recorded year-on-year revenue growth in the range of 200 per cent to 400 per cent.”

Zanroo recently launched a new solution called Arun. It aggregates paid, owned and earned media holistically for ROI measurement, allowing more accurate business decisions to be made.
