These F&B pop-ups in Singapore will be around for a limited time only

Those who miss Oxwell & Co’s traditional roast will be glad to know that Oxwell & Clan, a six-week Christmas pop-up party has been launched at Clan Café. Straits Clan’s ground floor venue at 31 Bukit Pasoh Road is home to this British-themed festive concept until 31 December.

The Oxwell & Clan festive menu (S$98 per person) offers a host of Christmas dishes that are perfect for family meals or gatherings with friends. Dine on turkey roulade with celery, chestnuts, cranberry and mushrooms (add S$8); crackled pork belly with mustard sauce; and roasted beef sirloin (add S$10). Your mains also come with Yorkshire pudding, gravy and roasted potatoes. Sides like roasted heirloom carrots with brandy butter, charred brussel sprouts with bacon and maple, baked cauliflower cheese, are served family-style to your table. Round off the celebration with sticky date pudding with toffee sauce and ice cream, or an apple crumble.

You’ll also get to sample festive-inspired cocktails such as the Winta Colada – a concoction of vodka, pineapple, nutmeg & clove with coconut meringue as well as a selection of festive punch bowls like the Spiced Pear Spritz with vodka, baked apple & pear, vanilla, sichuan and prosecco.

The pop-up is open from now till 31 December, for lunch and dinner from Monday –Saturday, and 11.30am to 7pm on Sunday. Oxwell & Clan will also be partnering with Food Bank SG to provide ‘One for One Meals’ (with a minimum of 5,000 meals), to people in need in the local community.

Canton Garden at Szechuan Court

If you’re craving for Cantonese flavours, make a booking at Canton Garden, a new pop-up at Fairmont’s newly reopened Szechuan Court. This concept showcases exquisitely presented Cantonese delicacies woven with modern presentation, plus tableside finishes to complete the experience.

Savour expertly prepared roast meats such as the signature Barbecued Chicken Gold Coin – succulent chicken and duck liver wrapped in lardo, then prepared sous-vide and oven-roasted. Or the Roasted Pork Belly accompanied by housemade truffle and cognac mustard.

Other noteworthy dishes include the pan-seared Shanghainese dumplings filled with Australian Stanbroke Angus beef and morel mushrooms and the Avocado King Prawns. The latter features deep-fried prawns coated in creamy avocado and mandarin-tinged mayonnaise and topped with pomelo, crisp dried mandarin wedges and pine nuts.

The classic Sweet & Sour Pork dish is given a twist with juicy green grapes and pickled ginger, and the Sauna Prawns is served “drunken” style in aged Chinese wine on top of a hot stones. A fitting finale is the Chrysanthemum Flaky Pastries with lotus paste and black sesame, carefully moulded into delicate flowers. This item is offered in limited quantities each day. Canton Garden is opened daily for lunch and dinner.

Baristart Coffee Pop-up @ Rumours Bar & Grill

This holiday period, head to the Baristart Coffee Pop-up at Rumours Bar & Grill, Jewel Changi Airport (#05-207) for your caffeine fix along with a range of Hokkaido-style sweet treats. This limited-time collaboration with Rumours Bar & Grill is set within Jewel’s lush canopy, overlooking the stunning waterfall. If you’re hungry, go for Rumours’ classic hotdog, hamburger, or fish and chips.

Or simply enjoy a laid-back afternoon sipping one of Baristart’s signature coffee blends, and indulging in the luscious Hokkaido BIEI Jersey Milk Cream Puffs (S$5.50) or Hokkaido BIEI Jersey Milk Custard Pudding (S$8.50). There’s also the Shiro Kuma Hokkaido shaved ice (S$9.80), which comes in the shape of a bear. Tuck into this playful dessert, served with vanilla ice cream, orange, mango, kiwi, strawberry, and selection of homemade syrup. The outlet is opened from 11am – 10pm daily.

Melati Bar at Dragon Chamber

In December, look out for a pop-up bar by Melati (Asia's first non-alcoholic aperitif) at Dragon Chamber, which is most famous for its “hidden” entrance and indulgent signatures like the wagyu truffle beef hor fun. There you can sip non-alcoholic concoctions like the refreshing Melati Spritz, comprising Melati, grapefruit spritz and cucumber.

Or the spiced Negroni, made with Melati, decaf coffee, bittersweet Chinotto, and spiced juniper. A backgrounder on Melati Classic: this product is made from a unique blend of 26 botanicals, individually treated via traditional cold-extraction for up to six weeks, before being hand-blended. Some of the botanicals used include goji berry, hibiscus, ginger, star anise, sencha, red kampot pepper and cinnamon, among others.

Those who prefer something boozy can go for the Snowglobe, a concoction of pandan vodka, Melati, lemon juice, or the Singapore Christmas, made with coconut, vodka, Melati and lime. All non-alcoholic cocktails are $12 and alcoholic cocktails at $16. Consider pairing your drinks with Dragon Chamber’s Cheeseburger Eggrolls and Firecracker Chicken and Maple Fritters – addictive deep-fried diced chicken spiced up with dried chillies and Sichuan peppercorn, and served with you tiao fritters topped with maple syrup.

The Melati Pop-up Bar is located just outside Dragon Chamber (2 Circular Rd), and opened on 4,5, 11,12,18,19 December, from 5pm. No reservations necessary.
