Thousands of UK and Commonwealth Army Personnel Rehearse for Coronation

More than 7,000 service personnel from the British Army, Navy, Air Force, and across the Commonwealth gathered at RAF Odiham on Sunday, April 30, for the first full-scale rehearsal for King Charles’s coronation on May 6.

Footage released by the Ministry of Defence shows the full tri-service and Commonwealth rehearsal.

Army personnel from the Commonwealth have flown in from across the world to participate in the coronation, the Ministry of Defence said.

The coronation will be the largest military ceremonial operation for 70 years, the ministry added. It will consist of a procession to accompany the king and queen consort to and from Westminster Abbey, and a flypast over Buckingham Palace. Credit: Ministry of Defence via Storyful
