Police arrest three in connection to jewelry, motorcycle thefts.

Police have arrested a 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman in connection to a series of jewelry thefts.

The pair were arrested for their alleged involvement in the theft of two gold chains from a goldsmith shop in Jurong on Tuesday (8 December).

Police received a report of a theft at the goldsmith shop on 5 December. It is believed that the man entered the shop under the pretext of buying jewelry, before fleeing with the gold chains. The woman is believed to have disposed the stolen chains for cash.

They were charged in court on Wednesday (9 December). If convicted, they could face an imprisonment term of seven and five years, respectively, and a fine.

The two are also connected to two other stolen jewelry cases.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a man for suspected involvement in a motorcycle theft.

The man allegedly stole a motorcycle from a multi-storey carpark in Segar Road on 24 October. He was arrested on Monday (7 December) after a police investigation.

He was charged in court on Wednesday (9 December). If convicted, he would face an imprisonment term of up to 7 years, and a fine.
