Three factory workers killed by a toppled machinery

RAWANG: Three factory workers were killed when they were struck by a machine at a factory in Kundang Industrial Park, at 11am today.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operation deputy director Mohd Rizal Buang said another Bangladeshi worker was also injured in the incident.

“We received a distress call at 11am before a rescue team from Batu Arang fire station was despatched to the scene.

“Based on the initial information, a machine in the factory exploded, fell down and struck three men who were working near the machine that time.

“Two Malaysians and one Bangladeshi worker were killed in the incident. They were pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedic,” he said when contacted today.

He said the case has been handed over to the police for further action after the rescue operation ended. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
