Three job seekers lodge report against company manager for allegedly outraging modesty in Perak

IPOH, July 30 — Police have arrested a 65-year-old man, believed to be “Datuk”, for allegedly molesting three women during a job interview. 

Ipoh police deputy chief Superintendent Mazuki Mat said the suspect was picked up at his home in Rapat Setia here today at about 12.45am.

Mazuki said that the incident allegedly happened on Monday at around 7.45am, 12.30pm and 4.30pm at the suspect’s office in Perak State Development Corporation Complex at Jalan Raja Dr Nazrin Shah here.

He said the three victims, who attended for a company clerk job interview, accused the businessman of behaving inappropriately with them.

“Two victims claimed that the man had tried to kiss their cheek and neck and also held their shoulder and hand.

“Another said the man hugged her from behind until she could feel his penis rubbing against her. He was also alleged to have kissed her nape, forehead and wrist,” he said in a statement.

“The victims also claimed that that the suspect did not talk about work related matter during the interview and also took photographs of them,” he added.

Mazuki said that suspect was released on bail after police had taken his statement.

The case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for intent to outrage modesty.
