KUALA LUMPUR: Tunnelling and rail-based infrastructure engineering expert MMC Gamuda KVMRT (T) Sdn Bhd (MGKT) announced that there will be a three-month closure of the left-most lane along Jalan Putra Permai in Sri Kembangan.
MGKT in a statement said the long term lane closure, which commence today until Dec 13, was necessary to facilitate the relocation of underground utilities and other related works for the construction of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line.
"There will be a long term 700-metre lane closure of the left-most lane along Jalan Putra Permai from the junction of Persiaran Akademi Perdana until the U-turn at Institut Penyelidikan Hidraulik Kebangsaan Malaysia (NAHRIM), Serdang bound and from the U-turn at NAHRIM to the slip road at Jalan Pinggiran Putra, Puchong bound.
"During the temporary closure, two lanes along the affected route will be made available to motorists.
"Safety barriers, hoardings and traffic cones will be installed at the work sites to ensure motorists and pedestrians are well-informed of the on-going works," the statement said.
MGKT added that MRT Emergency Response Team will be patrolling along the affected routes 24 hours to attend to emergencies.
