Three people have been accused of forced marriage.

Two women, aged 53 and 36, and a 53-year-old man were arrested in Birmingham on Thursday and later charged with the offence, West Midlands Police said.

The trio, who cannot be named to protect the alleged victim’s identity, appeared in Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

They were denied bail at the hearing and remanded in custody until their next court appearance.
