A public wake for late actor Aloysius Pang will take place from Saturday (26 January) noon, a week after he sustained grave injuries during a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) training exercise in New Zealand.
The late Corporal First Class (National Service) Pang, 28, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday night, making him the fourth SAF-training related fatality in 16 months.
His death has once again put the spotlight on training safety in the SAF, with top commanders calling for an army-wide safety timeout and reduction in training tempo across the army, navy and the air force.
