Top Gear is dropping 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' segment this series
Top Gear is returning to the BBC in October, but thanks to a certain global pandemic, it'll be without one of its popular segments.
Speaking to the Radio Times about the upcoming series, presenters Chris Harris, Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff revealed that the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' part of the show has been axed in a bid to adapt to the pandemic.
"It wasn't my favourite element," said Harris of its dismissal.
"It was deemed to be an important component of the show, but in the wake of recent events it was the obvious thing to go," he continued.
"That's not to say that there won't be any guests on the show in the future – but my feeling is if we have them, we should do more with them than just sit in the studio."

'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' has been one of the main segments of the show since Top Gear first began in 2002. The challenge saw guest celebrities take on the show's very own race track in, you guessed it, a reasonably priced car.
Top Gear resumed production on its upcoming series back in June, with all of this year's road trips being confined to the UK.
The show is also being filmed in front of a drive-in audience in a bid to maintain social distancing.
Top Gear previously aired on BBC Two, but will swap to BBC One when it returns.
