With Hollywood still shrouded in uncertainty due to the coronavirus pandemic, Paramount has made several release date changes, affecting the likes of Top Gun: Maverick and A Quiet Place: Part II.

Top Gun: Maverick's premiere date has now been moved from June 24, 2020 to December 23. This will also result in the Chris Pratt sci-fi movie The Tomorrow War being bushed pack to an unspecified date.

A Quiet Place: Part II, meanwhile, which was originally meant to hit cinemas on March 20, will now arrive on September 4.

The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run will also be affected, with it now set to premiere on July 31, instead of its original release date on May 22.

These are the latest in a long line of changes to be made throughout Hollywood, with Tom Cruise's other major release Mission: Impossible 7 having to move production from Italy to Surrey, England.

Elsewhere, the Illumination animation Minions 2: The Rise of Gru has been pushed back a whole year, as has Universal Pictures' Fast & Furious 9.
