The This Is Us star joined Clorox and Thrive Collective to open a new Youth Opportunity Hub in Harlem on Tuesday — and greeted the kids who will be using the arts-centered mentoring center. “Inner-city youth, who have been deprived of arts programs, now have a space where the can have the way in which they see the world validated,” Brown told Yahoo at the event. “Their art can be appreciated and prized.” He said he was inspired to partner with Clorox by his two sons, whom he wants to see grow to be “kind, resilient, responsible citizens of the world.” He also praised his wife for holding things down at home during his trip to NYC. “Ryan Michelle Bathe is an absolute stalwart in our family, and if she’d didn’t exist, then nothing else could transpire in terms of my life.” Swoon.
