Even if a celebrity dermatologist isn’t quite in your price range, that doesn’t mean celebrity dermatologist-approved products can’t be. Which is exactly why we went straight to Dr. S. Manjula Jegasothy, a world-class skin care expert who isn’t afraid to admit that some of her favorite beauty products can all be picked up from your local drugstore!

Yep, you read that right: drugstore beauty products with a celeb dermatologist’s seal of approval!

Miami-based Dr. Jegasothy caters to the skin care needs of Miami’s A-list crowd. Which, as you can imagine, is no easy feat considering the ample sunshine (and incidental sun damage) many Miami residents face. But with a double Ivy League education under her belt, along with a specialty in cosmetic dermatology and a coveted position as an associate professor of dermatology at the University of Miami, you’d best believe Dr. Jegasothy ~really~ knows her stuff.

So, we went straight to the doc herself to find out which skin care products she swears by, and like we said (and much to our delight), these picks all hail from the drugstore! Meaning that you can harness her client’s red carpet-worthy skin without coughing up a fortune.

Without further ado, her picks (and the reasons she loves them) are below!

1. Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser, $7.99

She said,

This cleanser exfoliates the skin with 2% salicylic acid and is still gentle enough for daily use. The grapefruit scent is quite pleasant to wake up to in the morning.”

2. Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water, $8.99

“Micellar water contains micelle molecules that attract oil, dirt, and makeup, making it a gentle yet effective makeup remover and cleanser,” she explained. “This formulation doesn’t sting the eye, meaning you can use this to remove long-wearing eye makeup without having to rub or tug the delicate eye area, where excess rubbing can cause early aging.”

All you have to do is, as Dr. Jegasothy puts it,

“Simply soak a cotton round or cotton pad with the Micellar Cleansing Water, hold it to your eye area for about 20 to 30 seconds, then gently wipe off.”

3. L’Oréal Revitalift Bright Reveal Peel Pads, $19.99

She explained,

“In-office fruit acid peels are among the most effective treatments for clear, glowing skin. At-home peel pads containing glycolic acid, such as this one by L’Oréal, can be a good starting point for those who have never tried in-office peels. For those who come in twice a year, the pads act as a refresher between treatments.”

4. L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Volume Filler Daily Concentrated Serum, $24.99

“Hyaluronic Acid is the ingredient found in injectable fillers. As an ingredient in topical serums, fragmented hyaluronic acid benefits the skin by drawing moisture to the epidermis, giving the skin a plumper and more volumized appearance while filling in fine lines temporarily.”

We love that we don’t have to break the bank to get celebrity-worthy skin. What items will you be picking up the next time you make a quick run to the drugstore?
