As the UK goes toward the end another week of lockdown, there’s bound to be many getting restless while they do their bit by staying inside.

Thankfully, the television can always be relied on to have something on to occupy yourself with, so here are some highlights of TV and film across the weekend to keep you amused.

On Friday, Miranda fans can sit down for a re-run of the sitcom at 8pm on BBC One, while food lovers can occupy themselves with new Great British Menu on BBC Two.

Go on to watch TV through the eyes of some professional couch potatoes on Gogglebox as it's back on Friday night at 9pm on Channel.

And if you're planning on staying up late, find out what happens when Gwyneth Paltrow doesn't manage to make the train vs when she does as Sliding Doors is showing on BBC One at 10.45pm.

On Saturday, there are some family-friendly flicks to entertain everyone, including the 1995 Casper film starring a young Christina Ricci on ITV at 12.55pm.

Plus, The Muppets 2011 movie which sees Amy Adams and Jason Segel co-star alongside everyone's favourite funny felt friends will be on at 4pm on BBC Two.

After an unusual season of Saturday Night Takeaway due to the live format being disrupted by the coronavirus, Ant and Dec will be bidding farewell to the show as it airs its finale.

However, fans of the duo needn't be too worried as they are back next week as part of the pre-recorded Britain's Got Talent auditions.

There's also exciting news for Gavin and Stacey fans as the BBC are bringing back the series to air on Saturday nights with the first ever episode airing this weekend because even if you've seen it tens of times; there's always room for more re-watches.

Lastly, before you dream off, catch Leo DiCaprio and co in Inception on ITV at 10pm.

Sunday sees Rowan Atkinson transform into the titular character of Johnny English for a showing of the film at 3.10pm on Channel 4.

Meanwhile, Jim Carrey flick Yes Man - which is based on a true story - airs on ITV2 at 4.10pm.

Race Across the World may be half way through its current series but the weekend is a perfect time to catch up on all the action so far before episode 5 airs 8pm on BBC Two.

Finally, delve into Dragons' Den at 9pm on BBC Two to round off the weekend with some high stakes tension as the business hotshots decide which pitches deserve an investment.

For what to stream on the weekend, The Mandalorian fans will be pleased to learn the fourth instalment launches on Friday on Disney+.
