Jose Mourinho is eyeing a reunion with Tottenham defender Joe Rodon at Roma.

Rodon made his Spurs debut under Mourinho following his £11million switch from Swansea in 2020 but has struggled to nail down a regular place and is set to leave this summer.

Nottingham Forest are also interested in the 24-year-old following their promotion to the Premier League.

Rodon helped Wales to qualify for the World Cup and is keen to be playing regularly next season in the build-up to Qatar.

He made 10 appearances for Tottenham last season and played just nine minutes in the Premier League under Antonio Conte after the Italian’s appointment in November.

Spurs sporting director Fabio Paratici is in Italy and has held talks with Roma over a potential deal.

Rodon, who has made 24 appearances in total for Tottenham, is also attracting interest from Forest, whose manager Steve Cooper worked with him at Swansea.

Tottenham are also willing to offload Steven Bergwijn, Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gill this summer as they continue to revamp their squad.
