Tottenham vs Arsenal, north London derby preview: Prediction, kick-off time, team news, TV channel, live stream, h2h, odds

Tottenham and Arsenal meet this afternoon in what could prove to be one of the most important north London derby clashes in recent years.

Both clubs have changed managers this season, with Jose Mourinho and Mikel Arteta at the helm after Mauricio Pochettino and Unai Emery were sacked towards the end of 2019.

It is fair to say neither side has enjoyed a hugely successful campaign, but both Spurs and the Gunners are looking to end it on a high as they chase Champions League qualification.

This Premier League fixture is simply a must-not-lose for both managers, as a defeat would mean a year outside of Europe's top club competition at a time when money is already tight for the north London rivals.

Date, time and venue

Tottenham vs Arsenal is scheduled for a 4:30pm BST kick-off on Sunday, July 12, 2020.

The match will be behind closed doors at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with no fans due to be present inside the stadium due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

How to watch

TV channel: Tottenham vs Arsenal will be shown live on Sky Sports' Premier League and Main Event channels and is available via Now TV with a day pass for £9.99, or a three-month pass on offer for £25.

Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can stream the match online via SkyGo and the SkyGo app, with a mobile month pass available for £5.99.

Team news

Spurs remain without Eric Dier, who is currently serving a four-match ban for confronting a fan in the Tottenham stands during Spurs' FA Cup exit to Norwich.

Juan Foyth and Japhet Tanganga are out injured, leaving Mourinho with a defensive headache.

As for Arsenal, Calum Chambers, Brend Leno and Gabriel Martinelli (all knee) are out, along with Pablo Mari (ankle).

Mesut Ozil (back) has been missing with an injury and could be an option, though Matteo Guendouzi is out of the picture due to disciplinary issues.

Arsenal are appealing Eddie Nketiah's red card against Leicester, and hope to have the striker available.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal

Given the importance of this fixture, it should be a cagey affair. Much will depend on whether Arteta can outwit Mourinho, and who can exploit defensive weaknesses more effectively.
